Frequently asked questions.

What issues do you help with?

I work with a variety of concerns, including anxiety, depression, self-esteem, life transitions, trauma, relationship challenges, and personal growth. If you're unsure whether therapy is right for your situation, I'm happy to discuss it in a consultation.

What can I expect in a therapy session?

Each session provides a safe and non-judgmental space for you to explore your thoughts, emotions, and goals. We'll work collaboratively at a pace that feels right for you. Sometimes, we’ll discuss things through; other times, we might use tools or strategies to help you cope and grow.

How often will I need to attend therapy?

Most clients begin with weekly sessions, especially in the early stages, to establish momentum and consistency. We can adjust the frequency over time based on your needs and progress.

How long does therapy last?

Therapy is highly individual. Some people find clarity and relief in just a few sessions, while others benefit from longer-term support. Together, we’ll regularly assess your goals and progress.

Do you offer virtual or in-person sessions?

Yes! I offer in-person and virtual sessions to accommodate your needs and comfort level. Virtual sessions are conducted securely and conveniently through Zoom.

Is everything I say confidential?

Yes, your privacy is deeply respected. What you share in therapy stays between us, with a few legal exceptions (such as risk of harm to self or others). We'll go over confidentiality in more detail during our first session.

What if I’ve never been to therapy before?

That’s completely okay. Many people are nervous at first. I’ll guide you through the process and ensure you feel supported, not pressured. Therapy is about meeting you where you are.

Do you accept insurance or offer sliding scale rates?

Although I do not accept insurance at this time, I am happy to provide receipts [Super Bills] for out-of-network reimbursement. For those paying out of pocket, I offer a limited number of sliding-scale spots based on financial need. Please reach out to discuss your options.

What is your cancellation policy?

I kindly ask for at least 36 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. This allows me to offer that time to someone else who may be waiting.
Cancellations made less than 36 hours in advance or missed sessions without prior notice will incur the full session fee. I understand that emergencies happen, and I’ll always consider individual circumstances on a case-by-case basis.

How do I get started?

To begin your journey, simply fill out the contact form, book a consultation, or reach out via email or phone. In our initial session, we’ll have an open and friendly conversation about what brings you to therapy, and together we’ll explore whether we’re the right fit. Your path to healing starts here, and I am excited to be a part of it!
